Interactive Data Extraction and Analysis [IDEA]

Prerequisites

The purpose of this two-day introductory course is to acquaint new users with the bulk of IDEA’s

Prerequisites

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® desktop environment and Microsoft® Office® applications.
  • Familiarity with IDEA Data Analysis Level 1 course topics.
  • Completion of IDEA Data Analysis Level 1 is recommended.

This two-day course is ideal for those who have completed the IDEA Data Analysis Level 1 training or have a sound understanding of IDEA functionality. Participants learn more advanced topics, such as creating complex equations or criteria, automating tasks and Benford’s Law. After completing this training, participants will be able to:

IDEASCRIPT for analysts

Prerequisites

  • Working knowledge of IDEA.
  • Familiarity with IDEA Data Analysis Levels 1 & 2 course topics.
  • Completion of Idea Data Analysis Levels 1 & 2 is recommended.

This three-day course introduces experienced users to more advanced topics devoted to workflow automation with IDEAScript macros. IDEAScript, the IDEA programming language behind IDEAScript macros, is similar to and compatible with Visual Basic for Applications, the macro language used in Microsoft® Office® applications.

After completing this training, participants will be able to:

  • Automate repetitive tasks such as importing files.
